We do not collect, store, or process any personal data from our users.

Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to collect limited anonymous usage data only during your initial app setup and onboarding process. This helps us improve the user experience and understand how users discover and set up our app.

The data collected is limited to basic onboarding interactions and preferences. No personally identifiable information, personal notes, voice recordings, photos, documents, or any content you store in Chronicle is collected. No analytics data is collected during your actual use of the app after completing the onboarding process.

Data Security

Audio processing occurs entirely on your device. AI processing of your queries and content is handled securely by our AI provider using industry-standard encryption. No personal data or content you store in Chronicle is transmitted to our servers. Any data you save remains local to your device or within your iCloud, depending on your storage settings.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect any data that may be processed through our service. However, as no system is completely secure, we recommend using strong security practices on your devices.

Device Permissions

Our app may request access to your device's microphone to enable voice recording functionality, camera to capture photos, and storage to save your data locally. These permissions are only used for the core functionality of the app and not for collecting personal data.

Data Retention

Any data created while using our app (such as voice recordings, notes, photos, and documents) is stored locally on your device and on iCloud and remains there until you choose to delete it. You can delete this data at any time by deleting the app from your device or by deleting the data from iCloud.

Third-Party Services

Our app uses Google Firebase for anonymous analytics during the onboarding process only. We also use third-party services for specific functionality. These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, modify, or delete any of your data that might be stored in the app. Since data is stored locally on your device or on iCloud, you can exercise these rights directly by managing your device storage or iCloud storage.

Children's Privacy

Our app is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect or store information from children under 13. If you believe we might have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
